Best Anime of Summer 2016

Another season has finished and surprisingly bought quite a few different types of anime with it. So, this list consists of anime that I found to be the best of the bunch for Summer ’16.

Fukigen na Mononokean

Fukigen na Mononokean is a slice of life anime that I found fairly similar to the Natsume Yuujinchou series in terms of aesthetic and the anime didn’t disappoint in its 13 episode run.

D.Gray-man HALLOW

I waited so long for this, and the wait has been absolutely worth it. The animations are fantastic, the voice acting is top-notch and even the villains are fantastic. My only gripe is that it didn’t have more than 13 episodes. For newcomers, I would like to remind you that this anime is a sequel to the first anime that aired years ago, so I recommend watching that first and then continuing with this series.

Alderamin in the Sky

Though this isn’t the best anime this season, it is still a pretty good anime that is fun to watch. It basically follows the military exploits of the main character who hates war but unintentionally ends up being an officer for the military. It’s filled with action and has a few funny moments too.

Shokugeki no Soma: Ni no Sara

This here is the direct follow-up to the first season and is pretty fantastic in being a ecchi cooking anime show. It has been following the anime pretty closely and the animation quality is top-notch. And this again is a 13 episode anime so it manages to be on point without losing track of its story.

This season was pretty fantastic and the next upcoming season is looking even more promising with the likes of Natsume Yuunjinchou Season 5 and Haikyuu Season 3 joining the roster of Fall 2016 anime. So, till next time!
